Before Summer is Over

I must share with you my summer reads! Because all of them were oh so worth my precious time. Now be warned. I read smutty, silly, girl books. They are my guilty pleasures and I enjoy every minute of it. But hey ... most of them are on the New York Times Best Seller List. That counts for something.

Book #1 of the summer that I read in beautiful Saint Lucia on my honeymoon. Appropriate title, huh.

I read these 2 back to back in approximately 1.5 days. I am a big fan of Lauren Weisenberger and Emily Giffen. In Chasing Harry Winston one of the characters, Leigh, has "No Human Contact Mondays" after work. I thought this was hilarious and a great concept. I have adapted it! You can too. I love Monday nights to lay around, watch tv, and do simply nothing.

This was the last book I read but it was DEFINITELY not for me. The first 5 pages that I read in Barnes & Noble were hysterical so I bought it. But at about page 6 I realized this purchase may have been a mistake. These "bitches" are skinny because they DON'T EAT. Literally. They do not eat meat, they do not eat dairy, they do not eat gluten, they do not eat sugar, flour. Nothin. Absolutely nothin. Well thats not true. For dinner they suggest you eat Fake Steak, lentils and steamed kale. Mmmmm fake steak! And what the heck is kale? If this interests any of you, let me know and I will gladly mail you the book. In the mean time you can put a filet on my dinner table any day of the week. You don't even want to know what I sat down and ate after work today.

Okay, I'll tell you. Yes, that is Cream Cheese Frosting, and yes, I sat on the couch and ate it with a spoon. I thoroughly enjoyed it on this "No Human Contact Monday"!

Now go on, get you a tub (you know you want to) and get to reading!

xoxo~

Hey! I saw your comment on Kelly's blog and decided to check yours out! I'm with you on the frosting...I was babysitting the other night and the mom left a tub a icing for cupcakes. I'm ashamed to say that I ate about half of it! Then I realized I actually had to put some on the cupcakes! :)
